Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for NCLT cases in respect of the lnsolvency and Bankruptcy Code (lBC)

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India issued an instruction on the Standard Operating Procedure (“SOP”) for NCLT cases in respect of IBC. It has been observed by the Board that there has been an inordinate delay in filing of claims by Customs and GST authorities. The reason for delay is that the concerned Zonal office does not receive the information regarding the initiation of the process in a timely manner. Hence, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has nominated the Additional Director General, DGPM as the Nodal Officer to carry out the mechanism set out in the SOP.
